| Gems of the South Persians & Himalayans cattery was established in 2002. We are located in Northeast, Florida outside of Jacksonville. We are a small cattery with only a few litters every year. Each kitten is nurtured and cared for everyday to enhance their social skills and sweet personalities. All kittens are kept in the house & are never let outside. We are licensed and inspected by Florida Animal Control Services. All of our adult cats are registered with our county and are annually vaccinated. Each adult cat is current on their vaccinations and have Rabies certificate tags as is required by the county. Registration & Health Guarantee Each kitten comes with a CFA registration papers. Each new kitten owner receives a veterinarian health certificate which includes your kitten's first shots, de-worm, fecal testing (to check for internal parasites), ear mite testings, FIV/FILV blood testing, and overall health exam to insure that the kittens are free of any external parasites or fungus. All tests must come back negative for a health certificate to be issued by a licensed veterinarian. We provide a one year genetic defect guarantee. Please see our sales contract for details. All of my kittens are litter box trained and handled daily. **Please note that all kittens must be a minimum of 8 weeks and 1 day old to receive their health certificates as is required by Florida State law. Kittens may not leave for their new home prior to receiving a health certificate.** Genetic & Blood Testing All of our adult cats have been tested by the University of California at Davis for PKD and are Negative. All of our adult cats have been tested and are negative for FIV/FILV. Colors of Kittens We Produce We have a variety of colors of Persians & Himalayans. Colors include an assortment of Tabbys, Solids, Bi-colors, and Himalayans: Cream, Red, Black, Silver, Brown, Shaded Silver, Chinchilla Silver, Shaded Golden, Blue-Golden, Chinchilla Golden, Calico, Dilute Calico, Tortoiseshell, Brown Patched Tabby, Red Shell Cameo, Silver Patched Tabby, Blue Patched Tabby, Blue, Smoke, Seal Point, Cream Point, Blue Point, Calico Point, Flame Point, Torti Point, & Blue-Cream Point. All credit card payments are done via Paypal with a $15 USD charge per transaction. All balances on kittens must be paid in CASH ONLY when you pick up your kitten. For all kittens being shipped, all balances must be paid in full a minimum of 10 days prior to the kitten's departure. Once a deposit is made, your chosen kitten will be listed as reserved for you until you pick them up. Deposit There is a $200 USD deposit for all kittens being sold as pets. This is required to reserve a kitten. This deposit is non-refundable unless the breeder is unable to provide a live, healthy kitten with a health certificate for purchase. Balance must be paid in full in CASH ONLY upon pick up. We require a minimum $500 USD deposit for all kittens being sold as breeders or show kittens. Balance is due in CASH ONLY upon pick up. For all flight deposits, we require one half of the total sale price up front to reserve the kitten. The full price and shipping costs must be paid in full prior to the kitten being shipped. Please see our shipping page for shipping charges and details. Sales Contract A Sales Contract with our one year genetic defect health guarantee must be signed & returned when your deposit is made. You will receive a copy of your signed contract as well as useful new kitten information. All payments are to be made in US currency. Kitten Pricing No kitten is alike and no set prices are given. Each kitten is individually priced. The price of each kitten is listed below their pictures on the kittens page. Here you will be able to see the name of the kitten, price, date of birth, coat color, eye color, gender, and parental information. All of our adults may be seen on our Kings and Queens page. Our kittens start at $600 - $3,000 for rare colors and exceptional features. Breeding Rights are selective and are addition to the price advertised for the kitten. Food We highly recommend and only feed Royal Canin cat food products. When purchasing a new kitten, you will be given a started bag of Royal Canin Baby Cat dry food. Your kitten starts eating this food anywhere from 4 -5 weeks of age. At 4 months of age, you can now switch you kitten to Royal Canin Kitten food. At 1 year of age, you can now switch to Royal Canin Persian Formula cat food. Royal Canin cat food may be purchased at pet specialty retail stores such as Petsmart or Petco, as well as your local veterinarian's office. |
